Workshop on Plant Collection and Herbarium Technique
The Department of Botany of Dhing College organized a workshop titled “Plant Collection and Herbarium Technique” on 2nd November, 2026, with the objective of imparting practical knowledge and skills to students in plant collection, identification, preservation, and herbarium preparation. The programme provided valuable insights into the fundamental techniques involved in preparing, preserving, and maintaining herbarium specimens for academic and research purposes. Through hands-on activities and active participation, students gained practical exposure to various aspects of herbarium techniques and developed a better understanding of their significance in botanical studies. The enthusiastic involvement and collective efforts of the participants contributed significantly to the successful organization of the workshop, making it an enriching and fruitful learning experience.
